Tridentine Mass at Assumption:
In dialogue with Bishop Choby it was determined that the Extraordinary Form of the Mass would be offered at Church of the Assumption on a weekly basis. This is not the Novus Ordo Mass where the new translation is said in Latin, but rather the Tridentine Mass of the pre-conciliar period. The principal celebrant of this Mass will be Fr. Terance McGowan who will also continue serving as chaplain/educator for John Paul II High School. Fr. McGowan will be in residence this year at Assumption. The Tridentine Mass will be offered each week beginning August 9th at 8:30 am. The Ordinary Form of the Mass will be offered at 11:00 am.
